Dari keterangan bocah korban penipuan, Billy Bisai, dirinya bersama seseorang bernama Bastian, yang dikenal Bapaknya di atas Kapal Pelni KM Dorolonda, dari Nabire menuju Sorong. Orang yang mengaku bernama Bastian, merayu orang tua Billy, untuk membawanya ke Manado. Bapak Billy Bisai, yang kini sudah berpisah dengan istrinya akhirnya terbujuk oleh rayuan Bastian.
” Bapak saya memberi bekal saya uang Rp 2.500.000, laptop, telepon seluler, dan baju, tapi semuanya sekarang dibawa orang, bernama Bastian. Waktu mau turun Kapal, dia minta saya punya tas, katanya supaya saya tidak berat membawa barang-barang saya, sesampai di dermaga saya cari-cari Bastian sudah tidak ada,” tutur Billy Bisai.
Mendengar kejadian tersebut, Ketua Pembina Yayasan Sekolah Anak Langit kota Bitung, Ika Putri Widiastuti segera turun tangan. Aktivis yang membantu anak-anak terlantar dan putus sekolah tersebut segera melapor kasus ini ke Polres Bitung.
” Biarlah Billy bersama saya, dengan segala kemampuan yang ada saya akan urus korban broken home dan korban penipuan, ini kewajiban saya sebagai anak bangsa, karena konstitusi negara kita menyebut fakir miskin dan anak terlantar dipelihara negara,” kata Widiastuti, yang mendirikan Yayasan Sekolah Anak Langit bersama Pengacara kondang OC Kaligis.
